Rated 3 out of 5 by from Snap fit lid does not last! I bought this product and the base has lasted several years, but the snap fit lid does not last and the bin is useless without it. how do I get a replacement lid? I cannot find it online or sold seperately in stores.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ineffective as a trash can without the lid I had purchased 3 of these 50 gallon roughneck wheeled trash cans for residential use. Great cans.. but 1 lid cracked and a 2nd was deformed from sunlight and does not fit the can. Trying to locate and source 2 replacement lids is next to impossible -- Rubbermaid and suppliers do not provide this option. In review of prior comments, this seems to be an ongoing issue with no provision for lids as a separate purchase. I will need to re-think the replacement of the 2 of the 3 cans that I can't use because of a cracked and deformed lids. I would recommend the product as favorable when the can and lid work and function together. Without the 2 lids, I cannot recommend this Roughneck design because the functionality is pointless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty, except... I have had my can for about 2 years and have been very happy with it until recently when the lid started cracking and letting in water. I just purchased another can but I have been looking to replace the lid on the first since the can itself has held up wonderfully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I bought a 50 gallon "roughneck" just over two years ago thinking it would hold up. Ah.....no. The top part cracked after about six months which was small enough to leave the container usable. Few months later another crack apeared but still usable. Finally it is beyond fixing or using. Noticed there was a "10 year warranty" marked on the side. Just checked the Rubbermaid website and found it is only one year and you need to have the receipt . Who keeps a receipt for a trash can? So Rubbermaid got me. Not a happy customer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but for the lid I love this trash can and it works great for me. I purchased a few years ago but my kid is now laying in pieces and have been looking for a replacement. I am disappointed to see that I cannnot purchase a replacement lid. Wish there was one. I have it 4 stars for the lid reason. I guess I will have to look for a different can that will have the option for a replacement lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Can Bad Lids I bought 2 of these garbage cans and they are great. However the lids wear out and crack. A few years ago I was able to get free replacement lids for the 2 cans I bought but I forgot who I contacted as they are not available to buy. Does anyone know who I can contact to get new lids again? Thank You !!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product but the lids are certainly not crack Lids do not hold up, particularly in cold weather. Let's face it, the garbage man is not particularly gentle with these and the lids end up cracking well before before the bottom container itself, All I want are replacement lids for the 4 cans that I have. but they do not seem to be available. It seems so wasteful to have to buy a new can with lid when the can itself is still in good use. I thought these were suppose to be durable, commercial quality from a reputable manufacturer!? If I have to go and replace these every couple of years I may as well go to the dollar store, buy cheap and constantly replace. So disappointing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same issues different buyer Can looks good but that’s about it. Cracks at the handle make it impossible to pull. OMG lets not talk about the shattered lids, let’s do. The lids look like they’ve been run over by a huge lawn mower. I’m and Engineer and I can’t fix these trash cans. Shame on u RUBBERMAID. I didn’t get what I paid for! Trash Man won!
