Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this trash can. Can is nice. Lid is awful, never stays on. Lost one. Can buy the whole thing for $25 at a local big box store, called today for a replacement lid and it was $20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Animals ate right through this trashcan I had this trashcan for one month and an animal ate right through the corner of the lid and side of this can. Unfortunately animal damage is not covered in the warranty. After growing tired of seeing trash in my yard, I finally replaced this can with a different model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this This product claims to have a secure lid. It's really the worst of both worlds. The top is hard to secure and comes off very easily, disconnecting at the hinges. This product needs to go back to the drawing board. I'm tired of chasing the lid down the street.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lid won't stay on Would be a great can if the lid stayed on, trash men lost my lid after only a couple months and I can't find a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lids just broke off!!! I bought this 45 gallon roughneck from HomeDepot a couple of years ago. Always had issues with the lid closing correctly. Then I noticed cracks and it would let water in when it rained. The other day it just snapped right off the hinges and cracked in half. I have it taped on just in case it rains or snows. But a replacement lid is $14 for something that shouldnt of broke!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a very rigid design Only about 4 years, and it couldn't take no more. Really try not to over load the cans as it is since our town only has one collection crew manually picking lifting is at their discretion. Think its just a flimsy design, and I wont get started on the lid since everyone has already trampled that complaint.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The trash can is ok but the lids are the worst I brought these a little over a month ago and they don't seem durable at all. I was very shocked that this trash can was called "ROUGHNECK". The actual can is not that bad but the Lids are the worst I ever seen. First off the lids constantly come off the hinges when you open or close them (real flimsy). Secondly I have two big hole in each lid from a little squirrel . Are you kidding me a squirrel can chew threw the lid of a so called Roughneck trash can? Rubbermaid really needs to correct this or discontinue this can. I would not recommend this trash can if your using it outside. Probably would work fine in a inside function hall. But then again maybe not if there are mouses around because they migh chew through it.
