45 Gallon Roughneck Wheeled Trash Can is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 126.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Awful Lid This lid worked well for a short time...maybe 6 months at best. Then the lid continually fell off..trying to fit it back on was a waste of time.. The can itself is fine but oh that lid! Happened to our neighbor as well...Rating would be higher if didn't have problems with the lid..$20 to replace lid.. IF a new one would stay on, which I doubt. New can is in order for us unfortunately.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with the lid and no replacement lid! The garbage cans (2) are fine but the lids are now in such disrepair that I cannot use the cans. There does not appear to be anywhere to purchase replacement lids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Can Bad Lid The lid keeps falling out of the hinged attachment. The lid comes off every time the trash collector handles it. And this week, the inevitable, happened......the lid blew off with the wind and is now nowhere to be found. Funny thing is, in my block, there's about 6 homes that have these and all but 1 of the cans lost their lids completely. How are you supposed to used this for outdoor trash can when there's no lid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What's with the crummy lids? I just assumed if it was Rubbermaid, it would be top-notch. But I see from other comments that I am not alone when it comes to being unhappy about the lid. It fell off several times and finally got broken - big crack down the middle. Can I buy a replacement lid?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor Lid design matched to a Durable can A product is only as good as its weakest sub-component. I like the can and wheels, but lost the lid after it fell off, most likely when the garage was emptied into the truck. I need a lidded can, but feel confident the lid would be lost again if it were replaced. Therefore, I am in the market for another product. Nope this helps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic can, awful lid Been just popping the lid back on when it detaches, but finally the lid is just gone after the last trash pickup. I wouldn't recommend this trash can for general curbside trash pickup as it won't take handling from average trash collectors. Maybe it's ok for an office where you take your own trash to a dumpster or something. It was cheap, so there's that, but disappointing that the lid just won't stay on. Better to have a non-attached lid that the trash collectors will kindly flip off first than this barely attached lid that they end up taking with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Perpetual Lid Problems. I own two 45 gallon trash barrels and the lid attachment design is abysmal at best. HOW this EVER passed QC is beyond me. They constantly fall off and have been run over and are now barely usable. I see that they are still sold at places like Home Depot so I am amazed that they have not fixed the problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Durable can, lousy lid I bought one of these from Home Depot and having wheels makes it easy to schlep out to the street. But the lid is just awful. The fulcrum pin nubs or whatever that hold the lid to the handle are way too small, and it was annoying to reattach the lid anyway because it took both hands. The can has held up quite well, but the lid didn't take long to get so banged up it won't even stay on the can now if the wind blows. I would rate this can a lot higher if I could get a replacement lid.
