45 Gallon Roughneck Wheeled Trash Can is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 4 Year Old 45 Gallon Roughneck Wheeled Trash Can For the first 3 years this contained was wonderful. Then the garbage men broke the comfort grip handle off and the lid had a 3 or 4 inch crack in the front left corner. I taped that up with some good duck tape. In year 4 the back right corner of the lid was nearly ripped in to. Too large to tape over. Now smells coming out and rain going in - had to pitch it. Wrote Rubbermaid about a warranty (60%) on June 17, 2017 and now going on 8 weeks later I still have not heard from anyone. No phone call, no email, nothing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this can so much I bought another, but... I love this trash can. The body is light weight, yet tough as nails and the 45 gallon capacity is awesome. The wheels make it effortless to move the heaviest loads on garbage days and the overall design is will fit any decor. The lid snaps close to seal odors in, especially if you add a liner, but readily releases when you want to open it. On the negative side, the lids are not the toughest and the attractive, bright red color of the handle will fade significantly with time. My lid cracked at the side and eventually left a hole large enough for scents to escape and for rain water to fall into the can itself. I actually bought another of the same bin from Home Depot, so hoping this one holds up better. I couldn't part with the old bin though; seemed such a waste, so I replaced the lid (also ordered from Home Depot) and am slapping a recycle sticker on it. Now I'll have matching trash and recycle bins with great capacity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible lids One kid cracked and the other won't stay on. Replacement lids are almost as expensive as the whole product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the concept, disappointed in the design Lid cracked at hinges on one can and the other keeps coming off. After not really paying attention to the warranty info I stubbled upon this site. I love the idea but after seeing the cost of the replacement lid I am skeptical of buying a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 45 Gallon Roughneck Wheeled trash can Do not buy. Lid design is horrible and cannot buy a replacement cheaply. The lid is not offered at Lowe's as an individual item for purchase but as I have seen on other reviews of this product the cost of just the lid is almost as much as a new can.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this trash can. Can is nice. Lid is awful, never stays on. Lost one. Can buy the whole thing for $25 at a local big box store, called today for a replacement lid and it was $20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Animals ate right through this trashcan I had this trashcan for one month and an animal ate right through the corner of the lid and side of this can. Unfortunately animal damage is not covered in the warranty. After growing tired of seeing trash in my yard, I finally replaced this can with a different model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this This product claims to have a secure lid. It's really the worst of both worlds. The top is hard to secure and comes off very easily, disconnecting at the hinges. This product needs to go back to the drawing board. I'm tired of chasing the lid down the street.
