Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service & Stand Behind Product I'm like many of the other reviewers on here, Great Trash Can but the lids get thrown around by collection company & don't hold up or they just crack & break from wear & tear. Just called customer service to purchase a replacement lid or find out where to purchase replacement lids. I'll admit, I had to provide multiple photos & lots of information but they said they will replace my 50 gal Roughneck lid that's been broken for quite some time, no problem. It also has a Lifetime Warranty label on the container. I appreciate customer service for items like this so that I don't have to go buy a new can at $30+ like so many have already done. Give Customer Service a call & a chance to demonstrate customer service is Top Priority. I'm impressed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from durable I have had the same one for nearly 20 years. The plug in the top of the lid is worn away, otherwise it still meets my needs just fine. I've had none of the problems mentioned in other reviews. Maybe I take better care of my stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The cans are great but not the Lids I have bought many of these exact cans at my local hardware store. Every time I have the same problem, the cans last almost forever but the lids never last. A few months ago I once again bought 2 more cans because I had cans and no lids. As usual within a few weeks they broke. I now have a lovely collection of 5 wheeled trash cans with no Lids. I live in the country and have a very ;ong driveway which is Why the Wheeled cans are preferred however I have absolutely no place that sells the lids to these cans.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The lids! I'm now in my third can. I tried to buy a different brand as the lid keeps breaking and my garbage service won't allow another type of can. And no one carries just the lid. Man oh man. Living in the country I need a can with handles that latch and a lid that stays on from critters and wheels to get it down my five acre hill. Time to buy another. Just wish the lid would last more than 2 months!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cracked and broken lid lets rain in I really like the wheels on the trashcan and the size is perfect for us. But, it isn't useful with a broken lid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wheels and lid could use improvement 1. After a few months, one of the wheels came off. Thought I had it securely back on, but found that the wheel had come off again a couple weeks later and was no where to be found. Replacement wheels aren't available at local hardware stores. I am going to try to contact Rubbermaid for a replacement. I do love having wheels and can't wait to get them fixed. 2. The lid has also cracked and is currently held back together with duct tape. Not sure how it broke, likely when the garbage man tried opening it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cans with no lids I like the size, weight and shape of this can but, like others, now have 3 cans with no lids. Lids are clearly inferior quality compared to the can. Very disappointed because I have received yet another 32 gal lid in the mail that doesn't fit as advertised.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lids All Cracked - Common Complaint I bought six of these some years ago and the cans have held up well. Unfortunately, all six lids have become brittle and cracked. The lids were obviously much thinner and cheaper and probably not UV protected. They now let rainwater in and odors out - two are cracked so badly as to be unusable. I have been unable to find replacement lids that fit (there are lids on Amazon but are larger diameter). I a dreading buying all new trash cans because of the lid failures.
