32 Gal Non-Wheeled Trash Can is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get rid of domed lid! I had two of these. When the trash guys throw the lid down, the wind picks these up like a kite, while the flat lids stay put. When a car goes over them, they usually get stuck and if you find it somewhere down the road, it is gouged badly enough to leak. In cold weather, if a car tire rolls over it, the large bend going from domed to flat invariably shatters these into useless condition. Flat lids are much more likely to survive. Finally, I stack my cans on a hand cart but it doesn't work well with the dome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ease of use, but some drawbacks It holds up for several years, except for a hole in the bottom (could be from varments), but allowed drainage in the rain. The lids blow away in a wind storm after trash pick up. I have had to replace 2 so far. Also, the squirrels always chew a hole in the top. I wish they would put a deterrent ingredient in the plastic so they don't do that. Or they could embed wire mesh inside the top so they can damage it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good container, great customer service I've had this product several years. They were purchased from a small hardware store, as I prefer the level of service over a big chain of stores. For the most part these containers provided very good service. But after several years, the past two winters in particular, these containers gave up the ghost due to horrible weather. (my opinion) Reckoned I see how good the lifetime warranty was going to be and sure enough Rubbermaid backed these products 100%. Only issue was transmitting documentation to them, and I'll admit , most of the problems were on my end. In closing. The customer service was equal to the premium paid for these containers. You don't mind paying for something as long as you get what you pay for. In this case I did receive outstanding after care from Rubbermaid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Lids Cracked over the years in storage. I purchased 2 of the Gray Roughneck 32 Gal Trash Cans to use at parties for trash. I have used them twice with a plastic liner, so they are as new as when they were purchased. The remainder of the time they are just stored in the garage, never outside in the elements. I needed to get to some items in the garage and noticed the top lids were cracked which, I have stored inside the stacked cans. They are both new lids, never used. I called Rubbermaid Customer Service and gave them the part number of the cans. They are sending me 2 new lids. The comment from Customer service was that, they will send parts as long as they are available. I hope these replacement lids are not defective as well. The Lifetime Warranty states the product will not crack or bend. Guess Again Rubbermaid! From reading the comments here, Rubbermaid is well aware of the product not lasting. I just hope I don't have a problem with the cans themselves, like splitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable We've had this garbage can for many years and it is still as good as new.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok The can does work well but is hard to use like all dragging cans one of them works fine one is broken with four cracks on the top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from All cracked up This model 32 gal can has only lasted less than 2 years until a big split went down the side. I have previous Rubbermaid 32 gal that held up for many years (they had the blue lids.) And I have other brands that are 10 years & older in great shape. These splits are not at the bottom from impact, they are 1/2 way up the sides. I haven't been throwing away large sheets of broken glass, nor have they been filled with water & allowed to freeze.
