Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays Shut I like the spring bag because when I put the leaves in and push them down, I can shut it and it stays shut. I also like how I can compress the bag to store it when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful inside as well! We have two Spring bags and neither one of them has seen any yard work... we use them as laundry bags. The kids love that they can tuck them inside their closet when they are not being used and how they bounce down the stairs when they are full of their clothes. Very light weight and durable so they are working very well, much better than those thin nylon laundry bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from need a hard sided yard waste container This type of yard waste container is ok, but I wish they would make a hard-sided one with holes, for municipalities that ban bagged yard waste. When I worked for the local regional government, we would suggest to residents that they drill holes in regular garbage cans to let the 'juice' escape. This is a product more municipalities and their residents will be requiring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great purchase I have had my Spring Bag for 3-4 years. It is still in excellent shape. It is light weight so I don't generally drag it like Gardner does. In addition to useing it for yard waste it is great for recyclables or trash if we are having an outside party. It is light and easy to move around and cleans easily. My complaint is that my daughter wants one for her birthday and I can't find a retailer who sells them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs more durability I am on my third spring bag in a year's time. I do a lot of gardening at my home and at a local Museum. I love the portability, light weight, and ease of use. The part that always gives out is the bottom. When the bag is moved along surfaces (grass, cement, landscape rock) the casing that holds the bottom portion of the spring wears away quickly. Once the metal spring is exposed, it is not repairable and will not sit upright. You need to add a harder plastic disc to the bottom of the bag or at least a harder plastic ring around the outside to keep the metal from breaking through. This would not add too much to the cost of manufacture and would certainly make this a better product with more durability.
