20 Gal Roughneck Non-Wheeled Trash Can is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trash can itself is fine, but poor quality lid. This is a good size trash can that I can easily transport in the back of my SUV. Used this for 1.5 years and always kept inside the garage. The trash can itself is fine, but the lid started to split a few month ago and it's getting worse. Definitely not living up to the "Roughneck" reputation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 26 years of total service! I bought three 20 gallon Roughneck (brown ones with black tops) non-wheeled trash cans 26 years ago and just recently the handles have began to crack. These trash cans have gone almost three times the warranty period!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cracked lid I bought this 20-gal trash can about 5 years ago. 4 years into it, one of the lid handles cracked and broke off. I have been using it with only one handle. The container itself is fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problems with cracked lid In 7 years this is the 2nd trash can I've had and 2nd time the lid has cracked. There must be better quality some where

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost Great I've had this can for use in by backyard cleanup(leaves, etc.). Lid has been fine, but the handle has partially torn away from the body of the can. I've had it for five years or so and I think is still under warranty, but the receipt is long gone. Oh well, I just have to lift it using one handle and the base of the can. A bit hard on the back. Still, a nice product compared to competition.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Lid These cans made it a year outside and every lid had broken. I bought 4 of them and every lid snapped, so it can't just be a small problem. I would not recommend these because it's difficult to find a replacement lid worth paying for. Should have stuck with something commercial grade because these are not. I'm surprised they are branded roughneck!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality lid We bought this 20 gal trash can when we retired and moved to FloridaThe can was kept in our garage and never stored or used outside, and never subjected to teenagers or young children. The handles on the lid started to break in less than 1 year, and have completely broken off after only 2 years, despite our exercising as much care as possible when opening the can. I've had other Rubbermaid trash cans that lasted for decades, but the quality seems to have gone down hill.
