Roughneck Jumbo is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sub-standard lid, apparently no replacement availa The box is sturdy and good but the lid is brittle and broke. (Two star rating) Even worse, not being able to buy a replacement lid. (Changed to a one star rating)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LIDS LIDS LIDS Many of the reviews have the same problem, getting replacement lids. I have 2-40 gallon totes whose lids have gone brittle and cracked. They are over 10 years old and I am not expecting them to be replaced. I just want to be able to BUY replacement lids. Apparently your production process does not allow for more lids to be made than bins.as I have not been able to find any retailer on-line or brick and mortar that carries just lids including your own on-line store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lids don't last I store all my Christmas display in these totes (189 Litre tote). The bases are great but the lids over time will crack and break. I live in Canada and called the Canadian customer service. I just wanted to buy replacement lids. They told me I was unable to do that. Seems like a waste of a good base if you have to replace the whole tote if the lid cracks. The garbage man won't appreciate taking lots of good bases to the dump. Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great container, terrible lid We have the same issue as the other reviewers. WE bought them for christmas storage. The containers have lasted but the lids are all broken up. If we can't replace them this year they will no longer be usable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the lids don't last as long as the container I would love to be able to replace the lid on my tote. I hate the thought of putting more plastic into the landfills.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a "stay tight lid"... I bought 2 Jumbo Roughneck 40 Gal storage containers recently. I love the size and sleek look to them and I had originally bought them for basement storage to keep away from dampness, water, bugs etc.. What really sold me with this product is the "secure stay tight lid". I have to say, I am very disappointed with this feature. I can almost slip my hand through the bin when the lid is on and the bin empty. I have bought Rubbermaid products years ago and have been happy in the past and would have expected the same with these. - would not suggest for storage!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from When stored outside the plastic cracks!!! The lid won't stay on when kept in the back of my pickup truck. And the plastic will crack in during the summer months when exposed to sunlight. I have to buy a new one every year and throw the old one away. So it's great for a year. I have to tie a webbing around the unit and the lid to keep the lid from blowing off while driving down the road with the unit in the back of my truck. I got this to haul a Caldwells Led Slede to the shooting range and back. But I use the tote more for putting my groceries in when I return from the grocery store. It's nice to haul stuff. I have the Rubber Maid trash cans that have lasted for 30 years without cracking on me. But the newer Rubber maid stuff is not as resistance to UV light and Ozone gas attack and the plastic just falls apart after long term exposure to sunlight and ambient air. Rain, snow and ice are also a problem with these units when they are stored outside in the spring, summer, fall and winter months. These should be kept indoors maybe to make them last longer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All the lids cracked I am having the same problem as everyone else. The lids are very brittle. Mine cracked just from opening them. I would appreciate some help from Rubbermaid to resolve this issue.
