MixerMate Bottles is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 137.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks. Poor lid engineering. There is no gasket on the lid. It's hard plastic to hard plastic, therefore the seal leaks with the lightest internal pressure, no matter what torque you leave on the bottle. (ultralight or tight) You can test this in the store when the bottles are new just by squeezing them with the lid on. All bottles with this lid design leak, even new ones. Other reviewers complain about the snap-on valve cover breaking off. I wonder if there's a way to embed the tether with a few longs strands of fiberglass during manufacturing. That, or completely change the design to a ball valve with a hollow tube that flips up to pour. (other bottles on the market have this design) I didn't think to question whether or not Rubbermaid products would leak at the store, I've always trusted them. This broke that trust.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One major flaw for an otherwise good value We bought a bunch of these and liked the size and value for price, but the flip top lid has an attachment strap that breaks after a couple weeks. So we don't buy them anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work I bought the 64oz moderate bottle at Wal-Mart. Tried to use it as soon as I got home. Filled it with iced tea. Poured a glass and it had a severe leak from the lid threads. I tried all kinds of remedies but to no avail. I decided to take it back because it wasn't cheap. After taking it back I was instructed by Wal-Mart customer service to pick out another. I grabbed one off the shelf, tightened the lid down and squeezed the bottle. Noticeably, air was leaking out like crazy. So, I grabbed another...then another....then another. Every bottle they had leaked around the cap threads just as my original purchase did. Very unhappy, very disappointed. Rubbermaid quality has undoubtedly gone into the drain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks at the bottom. I purchased two of the 2-quart bottles about a year ago. I used them for water. After about a month of use, both began to leak in the same lower corner. Using a magnifying glass, I was able to see a crack in each bottle. I quit using them, and am finally sending in this review so I can recycle them. A disappointment for me to discover a Rubbermaid Product, made in USA, that did not hold together.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bottle Leaks! I bought this bottle a couple days ago, and upon first usage I realized that the bottle leaks. Whenever you try to pour from the top it leaks out. I paid about $6 for a bottle thats ultimately useless. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bottle leaks, cap strap breaks I have gone through two of the 1 Pint MixerMate bottles now, and both eventually begin leaking where the screw-on cap meets the bottle. Additionally, the "strap" which attaches the pop-off lid to the screw-on cap eventually develop a crack, which leads the the strap breaking in two, rendering the bottle worthless. I hand-washed the second bottle, thinking the heat and chemicals in the dishwasher shortened the life, but that made no difference.
