Rubbermaid Storage Bench
Just bought this for cushion storage on our upper deck. There were very many parts, but the pictograph instructions were quite easy to follow. I was immensely impressed by the quality of the engineered plastic parts and how well they fit together with metal screws. The product is clearly strong and aesthetically pleasing. Except for about 3.5 hours to assemble it, I was pleased with the job until the very last step, which involved the two gas springs. See jpg for 2b (same for 2a) and the installed position of the GS End Mount. Now see 20, blow up 1 and 2 for the location of the gas spring. It is crushed between the box and the metal hinge assembly. See the photo. When you try to lower the lid, the piston has no clearance and the lid will not close. Clearly add-on design feature that failed. It alone reduced my rating for this otherwise fine product.

Great storage capacity
This is my second bin. The first was returned to Home Depot because the lid did not lay flat. Unfortunately, the second one does the same think. Looks like a design flaw as there is only one metal support instead of two. There should be one in the back and one in the front of the door to keep it from warping.

Just got this delivered, had no instructions in box, had to down load assembly instructions from internet. Does not hold all my cushions (says it holds 26 cushions....what size are those cushions???) I would NOT recommend this.

Solid product - more than SOME assy required
The product comes shipped in "kit form" via Fedex Ground. Lots of plastic parts and about 78 sheet metal style screws used for assembly. The instructions are pictorial and can be somewhat daunting and maybe confusing to someone not adept at reading assembly diagrams. On the plus side, the parts are designed to fit together and it is hard to make a BIG mistake. (I made a little one)
Once assembled the unit is sturdy and looks great. It features gas-shocks to help manage the top so it doesn't slam down.
Using a power screwdriver (like a variable speed drill) and a 7/16" ratchet wrench speeds the assembly. I did the whole thing in about 20-30 minutes.
Found a discount coupon no the web which more than paid for the shipping costs. Unit arrived 4 days after I placed the order. Rubbermaid price was 25% less expensive than the same unit on Amazon.
