Original Curbside Mailbox is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Owned for 20 years I've had one of these for 20 years. The red flag faded after a few years, but Rubbermaid sent me two more. The replacement has never faded. I really like the yellow flag that pops up when the door has been opened, alerting me that the mail has arrived. Magazines lie flat, and small packages fit easily inside. Highly recommended!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I replaced my 30 year old steel rural mailbox with yours. Finally didn't have to sand and paint my mailbox! In it's first winter, the door was broken off by snow from the plow after our first snow. Now what am I to do? Your add says "weather resistant" and "Impact resistant". I don't think so!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mailbox Received this as a gift. Door does not stay closed. The feature that tells if the mail has come did not work. Not pleased at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rubbermaid Curbside Mailbox It's been out there for 10+ years, and it works like new. It faded to flat black after 8 years or so, so I repainted it with Krylon gloss-black, plastic spray, and it was instantly restored to like-new. Three years later it still looks like new. The mail stays clean & dry, even after many direct hits from snow plow-thrown slush! The mail lays flat, and never needs to be "jammed in" by the letter carrier. It even holds small parcels... It's a question as to who will die first: it, or me! I'm ordering my third new flag on Monday! If something happens to it one day, I will simply buy another, without hesitation!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Door won't stay closed I bought this just two days ago and am already upset - the door doesn't stay closed and has been open more than it has been closed. Why would you construct a mailbox that the door won't stay closed on!! I would take it back, but I put the numbers for our address on it already -- this isn't a good product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak construction This mailbox lasted almost three weeks in Minnesota winter. I bought it because of strong reviews of durability, half of the door hinge is already broken off. Box is good looking, easy to mount and use, and until the door breaks off it is weather tight. Maybe when we retire and move to Florida or Arizona I will purchase another, but it cannot stand up to the abuse of Minnesota winters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend!! I am a USPS mail carrier. This is the box I personally recommend to customers. It opens & closes nicely, does not rust, and lasts forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your mailman will love you I am a postal carrier and this is my favorite type of mailbox. Not only will the box last almost forever because it is durable, won't rust and high quality but it is large enough to hold many types of parcels and lots of mail. The door also shuts securely, while many of the steel boxes do not. For around $30 its a great mailbox!
