FastTrack® Rails is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 73.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install Nice product, and easy to install, but why does the cover slide? When I attach any item to it and want to move it left or right. the whole cover slides with it. That doesn't seem right. Am I missing something here? I suggest an end cups of some sort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rubbermaid, why not make it better? I used the FastTrack in two former house and am currently installing it in my new home. Though I do like the system, I do not understand why Rubbermaid has not listened folk about the 48" length. I have the same problem that I have had before with 16" studs. Rubbermaid, why have you not responded. I have found a fix; however, would rather not have to adjust. Also not a friend in the suggested fasteners.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality screws. I would never expected a system like this to hold 1000 + lbs. I am going to just use some good quality construction screws, as the head is not hard enough on the provided screws to use a driver to install. They cam out instantly. Save your money and don't buy hardware pack. Of course this will absolve them of any liability related to failure. I think that would be tough to prove anyway. Ignore capacity ratings. This is available and it's fine for hanging ladders and shovel etc. it would even likely work for a bike. I am planning to hang our bikes from ceiling on hooks. So I will never know how that would work with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trashy hardware The screws in the installation kit for the rails are of such shabby material that they break during installation. I do not advise hanging anything on this hardware unless you want it to fall on you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek look, lots of options I have had this product for several years and just added 2 more rails. I love the sleek, clean design and the options on the hooks/baskets/shelving. I have one 84" & two 48", I'm buying another rail tomorrow to hang my extension ladder on. I do agree that the shorter rail should be 50". I do have mine mounted on studs at both ends with 16" stud balancing but I maxed several holes to get it to fit. I wish they made hooks for mounting kayaks- take the hint Rubbermaid. Great product!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cover slides there are several flaws with the fast track. Mainly for myself it is the lack of the cover not being fastened to the rail and the whole thing slides from side to side. hole spacing is another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install I bought this last week and finally had time to install it. I hit 3 studs only but used metal anchors, 50lbs max weight per anchor, to anchor in between studs. I did not use the ones they provided because I have used these metal ones forever and love them and they work. I'm not worried about only hitting 3 studs because I used metal anchors and not the plastic ones they want us to use. I like that you can just snap in the hooks and baskets and reorganize as needed. I like it!
