FastTrack® Rails is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product... Could be better I installed fasttrack system in my garage. It looks so much better than assorted hooks the previous homeowner had. System is sturdy and strong. Improvements: I wish the holes on the rails were slotted, similar to how the TV mounts have. The slotted or oblong holes are much more forgiving when the studs are not exactly 16" apart. I drilled a couple of screws at an angle because the hole on the rail was completely off the center of the stud. Fasttrack could also save some aluminum by making the holes slotted. As other users have pointed out, there is no way 48" rail could hit 4 studs. First and last holes are 1/2" from the ends. So the distance between first and last holes is 47". What was Rubbermaid thinking? It would have been great if hardware pack included some linking part so that rails that adjoining each other could somehow be tied together for additional strength

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and easy to install I have put up to 84 inch racks. 4 bikes hang on the higher one (road bikes) while the lower one has bike tires, extension cords, etc. Some suggestions: as noted, it would be great if the cover could be fixed so it doesn't slide, vertical ski rack mount would be great, and smaller lengths (36") for limited spaces. I never bothered buying the hardware and used some 12 X 2 wood screws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system! I bought an 84" two weeks ago. The install was simple and easy to do. I know some people have issues with hardware but I didn't. I'm going to purchase another one to hang additional items. Looks great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Hanging hardware is very cheap an strips out. Rails are weak and will bend under the weight of a light road bike. Will hold only light hand tools! Very disappointed !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install Nice product, and easy to install, but why does the cover slide? When I attach any item to it and want to move it left or right. the whole cover slides with it. That doesn't seem right. Am I missing something here? I suggest an end cups of some sort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rubbermaid, why not make it better? I used the FastTrack in two former house and am currently installing it in my new home. Though I do like the system, I do not understand why Rubbermaid has not listened folk about the 48" length. I have the same problem that I have had before with 16" studs. Rubbermaid, why have you not responded. I have found a fix; however, would rather not have to adjust. Also not a friend in the suggested fasteners.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality screws. I would never expected a system like this to hold 1000 + lbs. I am going to just use some good quality construction screws, as the head is not hard enough on the provided screws to use a driver to install. They cam out instantly. Save your money and don't buy hardware pack. Of course this will absolve them of any liability related to failure. I think that would be tough to prove anyway. Ignore capacity ratings. This is available and it's fine for hanging ladders and shovel etc. it would even likely work for a bike. I am planning to hang our bikes from ceiling on hooks. So I will never know how that would work with this product.
