75 Qt DuraChill™ Wheeled 5-Day Cooler is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheaply built This cooler is great! right size for large events. Shortly after purchasing this cooler though, the side handle broke. It is completely unusable! The side hand with the wheels is what drew me to this particular product and now it is totally useless for the reason I bought it. What can be done to fix/replace the handle so it can be used as its intended purchase?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken Hinge I purchased 2 Rubbermaid Durachill 5 Day 75 quart coolers 4 months ago and used it twice for light things and already 1 hinge broke on one of the coolers. Tried googling or searching for the correct size hinges but was out of luck. Don't know where I can purchase the hinges from. Wouldn't be a good thing to purchase this product if we can't find the proper accessories to fix the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Hinges Break This cooler keeps things cool, but the hinges have a tendency to break and the manufacturer doesn't provide replacement parts.
Date published: 2018-10-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hinges broke immediately The hinges on this cooler aren't meant to last for more than a short time. They broke after three months of light use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Same problem as the rest! Hinges! Decent cooler. Nice capacity and rolls nice. But the hinges are terrible. I had to replace the left side ones in under 2 months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK Cooler With an Achilles Heal Have two of these. First, one bought in 2016 has about 1 month of family car beach camping use. The second one bought in 2017 has about 3 weeks of family car beach camping use. I bought them because they are moderately priced @ $50, large and appeared to be well made. This cooler does NOT hold cubed ice for 5 days @ 90 F as advertised. With coolers always in the shade, you would be lucky to get ONE day (90 F during the day, 70 F at night). Block ice last longer three maybe four days. Home Depot should either validate or remove that claim. The drain hole is 1/3rd of the way up the cooler which means you need to lift the cooler to a 45-degree angle to drain it. Pull handle works great. The cooler does stay clean as advertised. The Achilles heal for this cooler as many have reported is the hinge quality! As you can see in the first photo below, the screw missed the hole so Rubbermaid QA is poor. However, the larger concern is that these hinges rely on very, very thin plastic to work. After a few uses the plastic fatigues and fails as shown in the second photo. Under these circumstances cleaning the coolers becomes a challenge because allowing a top to flop open will cause the weight of the top to destroy the hinge. Unfortunately for me it happen to the first just after purchasing the second cooler. I called Rubbermaid to discuss as I assumed they would be familiar with the issue. The representative I spoke to was not familiar with the issue (but for full disclosure I didn't get the impression they would be familiar with Rubbermaid products at all). After a discussion, they did agree to extend to me a one-time courtesy to replace the defective hinges with another set of defective hinges which should get me another few weeks per cooler. Looking at Coleman or Igloo I see the same problems online. In fact, the Coleman hinges look identical to Rubbermaid. If you have been summer camping as I have keeping your food safe (cold) is a priority for your family. With the quick melt rates, hinge problems and an inconvenient drain hole you might want to consider another cooler.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from terrible hinges i Have this item about a month, 2 hinges broke, and plug broke. I would say not a 5 day cooler, but does lat the day!
