Direct Mount Back Clips is rated

Whoever approved this design should be fired!
The only positive aspect of this product is that the manufacturer provides seven clips in a six clip packet. This allows a backup in case one of the plastic clips breaks. Otherwise, this is a terrible product! Having the anchors built in does not allow for studs or corners, the flat head screws are so shallow that they are impossible to use, and the anchors did not expand when the provided screws were put in. I also agree with the other reviewer that if you ever plan to take these out it could tear up your wall, if indeed your anchors did expand as they should have. Overall, this is a poorly designed, cheaply made, and horrible product to use. Unfortunately this was the only usable product my Lowe’s offered. I will be checking out Home Depot or online retailers to find a better product for our closet repairs.

Nice product with exceptions
Nice product, good closet organization solution however Rubbermaid has chosen to view the in a convenient tunnel vision, only 1/2" drywall is supported, anything other than this requires the consumer to find 5/8" (in my example) drywall mollies. The Rubbermaid help line answers this question in an ambiguous manner that doesn't clearly state "Rubbermaid doesn't accommodate this, consumer must find their own solution", not very convenient.

Sincerely Ms B Haven
I liked using these hangers
I didn't give these hangers 5 stars because it would have been nice if Rubbermaid had included a template in or on the product packaging. These hangers are easy to line up horizontally in sigle row. (like for closet shelves) However, for other projects that required both horizontal and vertical alignment, more diligence was necessary.
It took some trail and error but I finnaly got the 4 hangers needed for my not so little, wired, multi-shelved spice rack line up correctly so that it is supported by all 4 hangers.
I found it easy to removed the hangers as needed, by simply pulling the nail/pin out of the hanger with a pair of blunt nosed pilers, then wiggling the plactic hanger out of the hole in the wall. I had to patch the 1/4" holes left in the wall :-( but nothing to difficult.

Do NOT install this design if you ever plan to remove it to re-paint. The back clip design requires you to rip the clips out of the wall to remove, thus requiring significant drywall repair.
