Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbermaid string mop with ringer I bought the string mop thinking Rubbermaid is a pretty good brand. Very disappointed with the features of the mop as well as the performance. The mop ringing system won’t work it spins on the handle. The mopping action of the is terrible, leaves streaks and doesn’t clean very well. I wouldn’t buy another one if it was the last mop on earth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No manual download availabe Picked up this item second hand, hoped to find a downloadable user manual on this website. No such luck. Must not be one of their most popular products. As near as I can figure, this item doesn't ratchet or wring properly, and since there are no instructions to download, I guess I'll never know whether it's bad product or operator error. I would not recommend this product based on the fact that no user manual is available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FAULTY 'C' CLIPS I have purchased two of the twist mops within two years. The 'C' clip broke on the first mop, so I purchased a second mop to replace it. And that 'C' clip has now broken!! I have two mop handles and a box of replacement mopheads and no way to use any of my mops!!!!!! Please get me some replacement 'C' clips. Don't you have metal 'C' clips??? Obviously, there is a problem with these China made, plastic pieces of junk 'C' clips. They won't hold up to any torque when the mop rachets. P.S. As stated in the Writing Guidelines, I contacted Rubbermaid by email for immediate attention and the robo return email stated that Rubbermaid would get to me when they get to me. smh

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The selling points are pointless I have been scrubbing my floors by hand for awhile because I have little ones who crawl around on them and I want them to be clean. I also need to be able to do quick clean ups after meals and when I don't have the time to hand wash my floors. The ONLY thing I was looking for when I purchased this mop was "washable". That was a neccessity. I wanted a mop that I could wash and reuse so I would not have to buy placements very often. I really wish I would have look at reviews before purchasing. It may be washable (I think, I haven't taken it off yet), but it's not replaceable unless you have another zip tie and can thread it through the mop end to reattach it (not an easy task for some people). I wanted to wash it, hoping that that would eliminate all the blue lint left behind on my floor. Unfortunately, I guess I'm back to scrubbing my floors by hand until I can get to town to buy a new head. I will definitely wash the head first before I put it on the mop next time and hope that will help with the lint problem. The wringing action is okay. It doesn't wring out the water as much as I'd like. I have to stand over the bucket and wait until the water finishes draining. Once you have it twisted as much as you can, you have to push the mop head down to wring out more water. Releasing the wringer lock is another pain. You have to twist it a little more to the left then push the release, holding on tight or it WILL pinch you. The scrub pad really doesn't work well unless you hold the mop straight up and down or you'll scratch your floor. It started to come off after the first use. It's a good concept, but they need to take it back to the table and fix the issues. Rubbermaid has always put out good quality products, so I hope they can fix the problems and make it more user friendly. Another suggestion I have is to make the mop head easily removable so it can be washed and dried, but also to allow the mop handle to dry as well. I am already seeing a lot rust under the mop head where it attaches. I can't imagine that it will last very long at this rate.
