Small & Large Drain Boards is rated 1.2 out of 5 by 176.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from New design is a complete failure I bought a new 1182 Large drain board to replace an old one that is aging. The new design is terrible: 1) It no longer clears the edge of a high lipped sink. 2) Even if raised to clear the lip the drain edge is now curved and is missing the raised edge that used to guide the water to the center... so it now runs down outside the sink. 3) The new plastic is too slippery and the drain board slides on a tile counter. 4) The ridges in the drain board are spaced so that the feet of a draining rack will not sit flat on the surface. 5) The edges are "low profile" so if there's excess water it is not contained on the drain board.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's awful!! I had your older style drain board (large one) and I loved it. I had to buy a new one and it is awful. It drains on the wrong side (so the water does not go back into the si!!nk - it goes all over the counter). I'm not sure who designed this, but they need to go back to the drawing board. I believe that this is going to go back to the store as a defective product!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not like these drain boards I bought this drain board and hated it so much I threw it out and am still using my old rubber drain board which is now seriously falling apart. Why do they keep changing things? I have been using the rubber Rubbermaid drain boards forever and wish they would bring them back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed! I bought the large drain board recently and am very disappointed. Instead of draining into my sink, it drains all over my counter top. It is designed so that the longest side is it's depth, i.e front to back, and the shortest side is the side that runs the length of the counter top. This is ridiculous and annoying! It should be the other way around. I am 65 years old and have buying your products since I was married in 1975. Quite frankly, your products were better in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's than they are now. The current designs are far worse than the your designs in the last century, and your current products are made from inferior materials. I remember the time when your products were far superior to your competition, but now they are just the same as everyone else's.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New drain boards are not good ! I bought a new drain board because my old rubbermaid was breaking at the corner, couldn't find the almond color I had, so bought a clear one ! HATE IT ! The older Rubbermaid product is so much better. I've had it many years, and it is made of the softer rubber material. Why did you change the product ? I put back the old one on the counter and the new one sits in storage, I doubt if I'll use it ! Come on Rubbermaid, come back to the company you used to be !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible drain board My old heavy actual rubber Rubbermaid white drain board was getting stained and I wanted a new one. The drain board is worthless. It's too light, it slides all over my counter and basically and I thank God that I didn't throw out my old one. I've been reading all these reviews and see that you've been told about this for years. Why don't you go back to the old style?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from RUBBERMAID: PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR REVIEWS!!! Please, please, please bring back the old version of this product, made with softer and more flexible rubber. The size orientation is wrong on the larger boards, and I REALLY want one that is 23" x 18" with the water draining off the 18" side.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless The large board drains the wrong way. It needs to drain from the long side not the wide side. The large board is not large enough to accommodate the large rack, i.e. water drips over the side. The plastic material sucks. Furthermore, you have had eight years worth of complaints and you state that you care about our opinions and will forward our concerns to the applicable department, yet nothing has changed. Did the old boards last too long, resulting in lower sales? Make the change to the old board and watch your sales skyrocket. I believe most of the folks complaining about your 'new and improved' boards will be more than happy to pay a little more for quality. I know I would! Let's show a little pride in "Made in USA".
